X-Ray services are provided on a walk in basis. No appointment is necessary. These are generally rapid and do not require any special preparation. X-Rays are used to image various parts of the body. They utilize small doses of ionizing radiation. Weston X-Ray & Ultrasound equipment is state of the art and is tested regularly. We utilise the ALARA principle, that being using a radiation level "As Low As Reasonably Achievable" in order to create a good quality image.

Ultrasound uses high-frequency sound waves to look at organs and structures inside the body. During an ultrasound test, a special technologist or doctor moves a device called a transducer over part of your body. The transducer sends out sound waves, which bounce off the tissues inside your body. The transducer also captures the waves that bounce back. Images are created from these sound waves and are recorded digitally.

Bone Mineral Density (BMD)

A bone mineral density (BMD) test measures how much calcium and other types of minerals are in an area of your bone. This test helps your health care provider detect osteoporosis and predict your risk of bone fractures.
